If you are looking to move to Florida and are looking for more then just the warm weather St Augustine may be just right for you.
St Augustine Florida is the oldest city in the United States. When you go there for the first time you be surprised no matter how well you prepare yourself. You have beautiful beaches, you are very close to Jacksonville, Daytona, orlando but the best part is the wonderful downtown historic district.
The historic district of St Augustine is like no other place you have ever seen. The architecture alone is breathtaking. The Spanish heritage, the fort, the numerous historic sites along with the amazing buildings of Henry Flagler make it truly special. In the very center of St Augustine is Flagler College which must be the most gorgeous school in the entire country.
Could you imagine going to school at Flagler College and having an opportunity as a student to rent an apartment in the downtown historic district? It is an experience of a lifetime. You can walk the streets that were traveled before Jamestown was established. You have an opportunity to live off campus in historic rental homes right in the middle of the St Augustine historic district.
The beaches in St Augustine are on Anastasia Island. The beaches are picturesque and just about as perfect as a beach could ever be. There are many beaches in the country and this has to be one of the best. It is so quiet and relaxing for the beach lover it is heaven.
I cant think of another city in America other then St Augustine that has so much to offer. The artist community, Flagler College, the beaches, the just the entire historic downtown. You have easy access to large cities and some of the most touristy places in the country (Disney).
If you were thinking of an area to live in and you wanted culture, great weather, friendly people, beautiful beaches and access to major cities and fun places you need to seriously consider St Augustine.
I rented a home in the downtown historic district as a Flagler College student and I never left the most beautiful city in America. If you think I am alone you would be mistaken the city seems to cast a spell on people. You have been forewarned, when you visit St Augustine you may never leave.
Hope to see you at one of the antique shops or artist galleries telling me about how you came for a visit and stayed a lifetime.
